My J.A.M of the day comes from the duo called Diva Geek. Comprised of Singer Vula and producer Ben Jones blend soul and electro into one and create what can only be described as pure beauty.

When I heard the news of a debut album in the making I honestly screamed my head off. I'm so excited!

My good friend over the net has created a brand new website Most-Blunted.com, dedicated to the wonderful culture/musical genre we all know as Hip-Hop and all the aspects that come with it (mainly the clothing and marajuana bit.)

Anyway, moving on swiftly the point of this post is to share the compilation that the team at MostBlunted have created as a gift to all of the peeps who take the time to have a look around the new site.

As it's still J.Dilla month it's only right to dedicate a post to the musical genius right? Right. So I've come across this one. British singer A.L took on some of J.Dilla's creations for her latest project The L.B (The Laid Back EP) and I'm really impressed!

One has to wonder what the songstress has under her sleeve for the world to hear later on in the year. Whether it be original content or covers, she has my vote.

Timbaland has always been one of my favourite music producers and I was excited when the news came around that he had his own solo project (what we know now as Timbaland Presents: Shock Value.)

Hello humans. Happy New Year and all that. Anecdote time. Last year I would have to say that my ears were fully in tune to Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul and all the other TDE/Black Hippy fellas but that may change slightly in 2012. My first favourite of the year has to be Sir Michael Rocks from The Cool Kids.

Ever since listening to both of his mixtapes Premier Politics and The Rocks Report (both released last year) I've been hooked. Cheeky lyrics combined with a smooth flow (and not to mention good looks,) I have to say I'm a big fan. I've posted a few of his tracks up on here already but you've been warned there will be a whole lot more during the year...

Anyone who's read this blog from last year when I ranted about how Wale should've been signed to G.O.O.D Music instead of MMG would know how I feel but I don't think half of you visited here then.

After being a big fan of Wale after his debut album Attention Deficit I wasn't too pleased with his label decision. Why? Simply because I was expecting to hear saturated 808 crowded beats swallow Wale up.

To my surprise his sophomore album Ambition isn't that bad after all! I'm glad that he got to keep his sound despite being under MMG's wing.

You can say what you want about auto-tune, T-Pain gets away with it anytime of the day (except when he's squealing alongside DJ Khaled.) I have every album this man has come out with and to be honest i've never had a complaint.

If Fantasy (taken off his mixtape Pre rEVOLVEr) featuring Dirty Money/Danity Kane's Dawn Richard is anything to go by, I think that the new album rEVOLVEr should be a good one. We shall see in December I guess.

It's Cole Week

As you may already know I'm a big fan of Mr Jermaine Cole and after waiting since January, avoiding as many leaks as possible and seeing him perform live, (did I tell you that he touched my hand at The Wireless Festival this summer?) his debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story is finally here.

I'm not going to do a full length review on it as it'll be totally biased but after a full listen I must say that i'm very impressed. It didn't blow my mind at first but I think it's a timeless debut album (My future kids will be listening to this - by force). My favourite track changes after every listen so for now my favourite at the minute is Dollar and a Dream III.

Now it's time to wait for the sophomore album!

Review time.

So i've had this EP for a while now and didn't review it. Terrible. Anyway let me continue. Whose EP is it?

Birmingham artist who goes by the name of Romo. If you haven't read my blog before please take your eyes to the right hand side of this webpage and see the many little adverts. I'm waffling - back to business.

Number X is the title and consists of nothing but original material from the man himself who recorded, wrote and produced every track. Impressive stuff.

Starting off with X, the girl who didn't quite make it to 'Number 1' definitely could get some commercial airplay as well as Money Rain which has an R'n'B feel to it, depicting the life of a gold digger (some can relate).

As well as giving the ladies some attention, Romo tells the story of his journey towards the top of music industry with Be Me and the level of his determination with Workaholic.

Overall, very impressive work from Romo fit for a debut album. With the ability to cater to a range of listeners I hope he gives me a call when he gets signed! Interview maybe?
